An arrest in Uintah County can begin with the Uintah County Sheriff, Vernal Police, Naples Police, Utah Highway Patrol, Ute Indian Tribe or Fort Duchesne Police, or a federal agency. The officer's agency keeps the incident report and probable-cause material. If the person enters local custody, Uintah County Jail creates the booking record. The court later creates warrant, initial-appearance, and prosecution entries if charges are filed. These are separate official files, even when they describe the same event.

Specify the Uintah Arrest Record
A request for “all criminal history” is too broad and crosses custodians. Ask the jail for a named booking sheet or releasable intake material. Ask the arresting agency for the incident report, probable-cause narrative, CAD record, audio, video, or photograph tied to a date and number. Ask the court for the filed case and disposition. This keeps each Uintah County request with the office that made the record.

Why Uintah Arrests Miss BCI
BCI maintains Utah's fingerprint-supported criminal-history file. Ten-print bookings or single-print citations can supply arrest data. If prints never arrive, cannot be read, or do not link well, an Uintah County event may be absent. Courts and agencies also report dispositions later, so a cycle can remain incomplete even when the arrest is present.
A BCI Right of Access record answers a different question from a jail sheet. It shows the subject's fingerprint-supported Utah history, not the full city police narrative, every local citation, or a national FBI record. If your own BCI cycle is wrong or lacks a result, use the official challenge form with identification and right-four-finger impressions. Send a court error to the clerk and a police-report error to the creating agency.
Arrests vs Convictions
An Uintah County arrest record starts with probable cause and custody. A conviction comes only from a court's finding after a plea or trial. The jail cannot certify a disposition, and an Xchange charge line should not be read as guilt until its outcome is checked.
